Are we allowed to customize pieces? I'm planning on painting some pieces thats all...

Custom pieces are limited to minifig, minifig accessories, animals, and animal accessories, flags, etc. No painting or alterating bricks/plates/etc.

That's pretty much standard procedure around here, but it isn't necessary. It's just a question of whether or not you want comments on your MOC.
