I counted the "com" in Classic-Castle.com.

Here are my entries for the contest (both category 2-full faction).

entry1: mini scale Crusaders (historical not the lego faction :P)
deeplink preview: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/draug ... /c_all.jpg
folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=333028

entry2: mini scale muslims
deeplink preview: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/draug ... /m_all.jpg
folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=333029

The folders contain shots of each piece by itself
As you can see, its miniscale so the king is a castle, the queen is a siege engine, bishops are cathedrals/mosques, rooks are forts, and knights and pawns are infantry/cavalry divisons.

I put together both factions on a board- not part of the contest, but I just wanted to show it off :)

Here is my entry:

Forestman Rook

Those muslim and crusaders are an excellent design. I love the buildings and the freshness of the idea.

All right, here we go:

I made "The Standard Bearer" (Black Knight)

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3357277
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3357276
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3357273

and "The Lady loves Conquest" (White Queen)

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3357272
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3357271
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3357270

Comments/questions/criticism welcome. They do use into the 1-stud margin in a couple of places, but they're steady and won't tip over. The Black Knight actually looks even better IRL than in this picture. I was going for a sort of Frank Frazetta look.
