This is a fantastic MOC you've got here. In many ways it reminds me of the new chess set. The modular construction is fantastic, as is your attention to detail. Heck, if LEGO were to release a large-scale Castle exclusive I would imagine that it would be very similar to your wonderful MOC.

I know this is older but I really enjoyed reading the page and the thought process that went into designing the castle.

I'm glad this got resurrected! I read through the whole thing. Great story!
I found it particularly interesting that the barred windows were the inspiration behind the build in the first place, yet not a single one (that I noticed) made it into the final design! (just shows that you have to be open to adaptation!)
