man at ye old well wrote:So here is my entry for this conest...It's just a small simple castle, but this is my first time trying this scale. Anyways, thank you for hosting this contest.
Those flags are great, really innovative. It's brilliant how pieces designated for other purposes can function as something else in this scale.

I'm hoping to get a second entry done in the next few days. :)

I have an entry photographed, just not uploaded yet. And I have at least two more entries in mind. Now I just need to get home to where my brick is.

Using hands for flags is not originally my idea, I forget who I got the idea from. :? I'm glad you like it.

Oh yes, I forgot to say Good Luck to all the contestants. :)

Here's my entry: "Castle on a Cloud"
Image
The base is 2 32x16 baseplates that are hinged to open so you can see what's going on inside the Summoner's cottage.

Here's what it looks like open:

The Summoner's cottage has a laboratory, a foyer with armor and his owls and gear, a basement with a maiden in chains sharing a cell with some other unfortunate adventurers and critters, a bedchamber with a four-post bed under a mounted dragon's head, and an attic crawlspace with treasure.

I had intended to do a castle version of King Kong (Clancy of course being Kong), with a giant dragon, bat and dreagle (dragon+eagle), as the bi-planes, but I ran out of time to build the dragon and bat, so here's the dreagle (for the mini-movement category) -

I have (2) entries:

For my first, I thought it would be fun to miniturize one of my favorite LEGO sets, 6030 Catapult:

My second is called Harbor Gate (I have plans to do a "full-scale" version similar to this some day):

Hello all - you don't know me and I've never shared any Lego creation with the world before, but here is my entry for the contest:

The rest of the pictures are here:

(or at least, they will be when the Brickshelf moderation process has approved them)

They're also on Flickr although there the pictures are larger than the contest pixel maximum:

Sorry I'm such a crummy photographer!

Lonesome Valkyrie

Hello everyone!

This is my entry for this contest and it's called Lonesome Valkyrie.

This construction has a moving wind mill, a cart with horse, boats and a working drawbridge.

What is CC server time (zone)? As far as I can tell, everything on the forum depends on what time zone you select in your profile.

Hello, just barely squeezing this in. Sorry I couldn't whip up something better. I surrender in the face of such excellent competition. :P
