City Wall with Arrow Slits

Post by footsteps »

Hi all,

I've made my latest "adjustments" to my city wall. It isn't compatible with the 3CS standard, but that's just a matter of personal choice.

The pics can be found here:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=74227
with some of the older pics (labeled "battlementxx.jpg) next to the new stuff (labeled "wall-newxx.jpg).

The more eagle-eyed of you will note that there are {ahem} clones in my creations, but the important details are still the good stuff aka Lego. It's a cost issue, which I won't defend further.

The wall as pictured is 72 studs long, being made of three 24 stud segments that connect on the ends and are "bricked" together to make this one unit. I have two such large units (the other hasn't yet been 'upgraded' with arrow-slits) plus another one in-process with only the underlying berm completed.

Hopefully this has some points of inspiration for you.

Thanks,
Alan

I saw this on Brickshelf this morning. Your arrow slits are the simplest design I've seen yet... meaning I might actually be able to make some. Thanks for the great idea.

Go here:

for an extensive list of MOC slits, technically "archer loops", to give you inspiration.

A few months ago we had quite a flurry of threads and posts highlighting many methods of making these archer loops.
