Were they just that bad, or there some sort of vetting process they need to go through?
Yes  ......just kidding. Patience man. The entries have to be looked at by the Admins first to make sure they fill the requirements and are within the rules. If they just showed up without consideration, and members saw illeagel entries, there would be chaos. They also have in the past given the members ample time to fix their entries. This may or may not be the case this time, but in any event. Have faith. I entered my 5 so far all in one night and also wondered why only one had been listed as Submitted. Relax, this is the Colossal Castle Contest. The voting will take some time to process as well.

I just want to make sure my stuff gets entered -- even if every entry ends up being last place in its category, I want the satisfaction of knowing I tried. Thanks for listening!
As Quickblade noted there is moderation, to make sure things are in the right categories, right image size, number of images, etc. Currently thee are 58 entries pending moderation. Be patient with us - admins have lives too, you know.

It's CCCVI, you don't get lives right now! Get back to work!

I kid, I kid ;) but I do have a little question: If someone submits something that isn't exactly according to the rules, how are they notified?

We will send them a pm or email.

Thanks for the info, folks. Since this is my first contest, I'm just paranoid I'm not doing something right. I figured there needed to be some review, but was worried my entries weren't actually entered. Now that I've got piece of mind, I think I might just use this rather nasty weather day to do some more building. Perhaps a second siege? Hmmmmmm . . .

One more question, purely out of curiosity (you know what curiosity did to the cat), is there any method to the order in which the entries are displayed on the "View Entries" page per each category?
They don't seem to be displayed in order in which they were submitted, and also not alphabetically. Is it completely random, or does someone put them in a certain order?

You couldn't tell that it was by inode creation time?
... Fixed!
Now in alphabetical order.

I have another question regarding feedback. The photos I've taken of my entry don't seem that satisfactory, and I'd like to know what others think of them. Can I ask for feedback on them, and if they aren't that great, re-take them?

I'm curious, is this also frowned apon by admins, or is it encouraged?

Haha you asked that exact same question two pages ago :)

Can I post my MOC on the forums here before I submit it, and then fix up anything later after I've gotten feedback, take new pictures, and then submit my entry?

Thanks!
This is frowned upon by the judges. We suggest not asking for feedback from other fans who are competing against you.

Yes, I know I did. I'm asking about photo quality feedback, not the MOC itself.

Quick question,
I accidentally used my hotmail email address on my Chivalry entry, just curious if that's alright, or should I re-submit it with the correct email address?

I'm a little unsure regarding the Master Builder category -
This prize will be awarded to the builder who enters 6 or more categories and has the highest score when their top six creation scores are averaged.
Am I to understand that were I to enter 6 MOCs in 5 categories, that I wouldn't qualify for it, but that if I were to enter 7 MOCs in 6 categories, with the additional MOC being a 3-minute-panel-wall-job, that I would qualify, and that the average would be taken from the 6 "real" MOCs?

I know I've only entered 3 MOCs so far, but I'll manage 6, trust me

Submit an Entry does not work on the website, I tried 4 computers. How am I supposed to submit my MOC?

Sly,

We would take into account if someone posted a horrid MOC simply to meet the 6-category requirement. While there have been participants in past CCCs who technically had 6 entries and so could qualify, the final Master Builder always came down to people with solid bodies of work. For instance, here's what I posted last year about the top three in the running for Master Builder.

Don't worry about it.
