awesome work dnl! I haven't replied to your first version, but i have seen it and i really liked it. This second version is even cooler! Very well build and awesome landscaping! I also really like this idea of an evolving castle build!

Keep it up, and i'm looking forward to your next stages!

Wow, Daniel, great work again. I love the way it's evolved. The buildings look really great; especially the one attached to the stone tower. I also like the way the trees have grown.

And by the way, that one using the heart-shaped leaf pieces is great.

Wow... Stage two is as good if not better than the first. I really like the trees which age along with the building, and the "life" of the MOC is as good as the scenery. Great job! Keep up the amazing work...

Getting even more impressive DNL, I'm loving the collapsing into quarters and also the offset in the tower. It looks like the wall is almost growing as well and I can see the rough shape of (what might become) a gatehouse already. Very nice, and fast too, I'd have taken way longer than you if it was me, at this rate I'll be looking at stage 3 in a week.
Great stuff,

Simply magnificent :o . I dont think that I've ever seen a half stone half wooden castle posted here before. If there ever was one yours in certainley the best. I love history and the evolution of human culture and warfare so this is definitely one of my favorite mocs of all time!

Two questions about the future of this castle:(1) Will you ever make is be conquered, as this significantly changes a castles future and may damage its defences to the point of needing major repairs.(2) Around what year are you makeing the castle's last stage supposed to be, since some castles were upgraded to later house cannons and revitalize themselves. Other than those, bravo, amazing creation,

Jameson.

Awesome build. And... happened really fast! I like your wall mottling. You may try investing in the old style greys to take it to the next step. :D

Again, I am speechless about this creation...

Ok, not too speechless to not ask the following question:

I really liked the barrels and looked at them closely. Very nice find, do I see it correctly you made them of two of these: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/4424
?

Super nice MOC. I love it. And the idea is great. Do the people living there have a history? Who are they. Do they support the ruling king or are they aspiring for the crown, or secretly support opposing aspirants.

Here are some tips regarding barrel building:

Wow! Daniel, you never cease to amaze me with your creations. How you manage to pack so much detail into your creations without making them cluttered is incredible.

This is coming along really well. I can't wait to see the future installments!

Good castle, yet, trust me i read these things, around the year 1100, the Normans would have built keeps for castles. still, i like the half-timbering and the wooden battlements! :spin:
