Assault on Monthevi
Image
When the Dragon Masters heard that the notorious Royal Knight commander Sir Alfryyd the Dragon Butcher was currently residing in the border town of Monthevi, they decided to end his evil life at all costs.

Also, three travellers are trying to escape from the town undetected.

So, here is my entrie. A little bit surpricing strange battlefield.
The soldiers want to defend there country against the rebel vikings. So they want to attack by surprise, but there is an unwelcome surprise for them: a few peacefull farmers passing by... in the meantime the big dragon of the vikings frightend the more little dragon of the soldiersarmy.

It's strange, but there was a photografh in situ.

Set on Flickr:

I thought I'd give the main contest a go, as well as the vignette one, so this one is 10x10

Sir Hruodland and Durandal :

Image

Sir Hruodland (or Roland) was the chief paladin of Charlemagne.
His sword, Durandal is said to contain within its golden hilt one tooth of Saint Peter, blood of Saint Basil, hair of Saint Denis, and a piece of the raiment of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Local folklore claims Durendal still exists, preserved in Rocamadour, France.

THE LAST SWING:
