Hey All,

This thread is getting rather messy and confusing. We, the Admins, would prefer if only Admins answered questions regarding the CCC. Only the Admins have the authority to pass judgement on questions regarding the rules. Therefore it can get very confusing if a variety of people weigh in with their thoughts and ideas.

Thank you,
Josh

I've got a couple questions regarding the rules.

"You may use modified bricks, custom accessories, and/or stickers."

Does this include custom-painted elements?

"Custom stickers may be used for minifigure torsos, shields, and flags."

What about face decals? Are those allowed?

Both of those are allowed.

Question:
With the innovation category would mythical inventions be included. Not like steampunk, but more like inventions rumored to have been around only in a much more medieval style?

I have a similar question: would steampunk-ish entries be allowed in the misc. category? Such as a Forestmen Flying Gondola? (I know it sounds weird, but it'll look much better than it may sound) If not, it can easily be converted to the Medieval Mariner category.

Thanks,

The 'technological advance' category is meant to be realistic and historical.

Anything goes in the 'misc' category.

I have a question involving the Medieval Mariner catagory.

Could we use ships ands troops armed with cannons, or muskets? If I'm correct, muskets and cannons were used during the 16th century.

Thanks.
God bless.

In general the CCC only allows limited use of medieval cannon in mocs. A good example would be a siege cannon. Standardized cannon on naval ships likely does not fall in the medieval time frame of this contest.

Sorry, but: would I be able to enter my boat in the misc. category with steampunk apparatus, and then enter it in the Medieval Mariner category with a sail and a different hull color/figs? Or will I just have to pick which one would be best?

Thanks,

You should not re-use MOCs. Decide which is better and choose that category.

Just to clarify here, does that mean that steampunk creations are allowed? Cause it seems like they are, if I understand you right.

This is not a steampunk contest. Mocs will be graded accordingly, even if they are submitted to the misc category.

Yes. Paper or cloth can be used for sails in your entry.
