Hey all,

Technically this is a pirate MOC, but ignore that and just enjoy the beauty of Derfel Cadarn's Church of St Govan.

Whoa! I love the architecture and the design of the bricks instead of the normal style. The hill and below looks really good, too. If only the Lego company could think like this...

This work is just outstanding!! From the rocky cliffs, the landscaping, and all the foliage to the details like the sand and water, the intricacy of the church itself, and all of the little placings in the moc, this is truly a masterpiece. I wish this builder had started sooner. The stained glass windows on the building, the little wall, the big trees, and the church walls are all so finely detailed and intricate, this must have taken months to plan and construct! Amazing work! :twitch:

:twitch: I saw this one on Classic-Pirates, and my eyes bulged out of their sockets :o I always love Lego churches, and this one takes the cake! I never would have thought of using 1x1x1 pieces as walls, and Derfel did a great job. This is way beyond my building level, but, my only minor knit-pick is the old grey and new gray( curse you Lego!) that clash on the hill, but that is not the builder's fault at all! :) This is truly a masterpiece of construction, probably more-so than the real churches it was based on. :) The hill is amazing, the shape of the church is marvelous, and it also looks very sturdy and soundly built!

Thanks for your great comments, I really enjoyed building this, as it was one of those mocs where the construction just flowed and everything fell into place without a hitch. Im planning to concentrate on alot more castle mocs now, as theres so many great ideas to do. Thanks for your kind words.

Oh My God ! It's very giant and well detailled !
The time he had to spend over would be very long !

It would be awesome if the church itself would be a set, but I don't think LEGO is very big on brick-built terrain...
