I suppose this would be my first MOC. About 3 years ago in all so I was... 11! Well here it is.

Well, I THINK this is my oldest castle that I took pics of. I know I had built MANY castles over the years, but this is the first one I had taken pics of (Probably because it won first place in the local fair)

Now, the first castle I posted on CC? Hmmm, lemme dig around a bit.

Ah here we are. No comment.

Well, here is the first MOC I uploaded and posted (probably built two or three years before though, I think). Can't say I'm too embarassed, it even had a somewhat nifty interior that I didn't photograph for some reason (why I had to include a stupid battle is beyond me now though). As for the ninja dragon-riders it was of course meant for a fantasy setting ;)

The first castle moc that I posted on Lugnet likely was my Tower Gatehouse: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=24156

My City Gate was the first one I posted on CC: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=59006

My first MOC, both posted here, and, I believe, uploaded online at all, was this little beauty:

Posted in this dear old thread: First MOC

Ah....how utterly young and stupid I was back then, over six years ago. It hurts to see sometimes. Still, I have definately built worse things in my lifetime. I still have the head to this litte creation, and have often thought about rebuilding it someday. Something to think about, to be sure.

Heh :)
My first MOC was so long ago, that there were no digital cameras :) and it was made for play, not for show. And I do not have pictures of it. The first one I've taken pictures of is this. The first castle that I've put online but not publish is this one

My first most that I've presented to you people is this (Ust Natha)

This was my first castle MOC posted online. MOCpages

I really liked the 6040 Blacksmith shop and wanted to make my own version. Pretty cheesy but I guess it was fun. :)

Interesting thread. It's fun to see everybody first take at mocing.
I used only the bricks I had from my childhood to build my first MOC. Notice the blacktron insignia on the main tower...no...wait...it's a triforce, the pirates figure to increase the number of my troops, the stable on pillar and a lots of other details that makes this castle quite unique.

So, this was my very first Castle creation out of my dark ages. I'm still quite proud of it and I think it predates any other floating rock creation I've seen online.

Wow, this is a great thread! I've only been online for about a year and I've made some 30 MOCs, so I don't really have the nostalgia factor yet, but I still can remember the day when I posted my first MOC like it was yesterday... :D

My first MOC was titled, "Toilet of Doom" (View if you dare! :? ). But my first Castle MOC (Which was my second MOC) was called, "Troll's Feast". A 8x8 vig that I made last September.

While I haven't become a ton better, I do see improvement in photography and most building. I got 3rd place and 5th place in two contests over the summer, so that has to mean something as well.

Thanks for the topic, it's fun to see what people used to build!

And so he slipped into the forest, vanishing without a trace, leaving his pursuers lost without ideas, while he went to finish his MOC's.

Takes me right back to the CCCV...

Looking back, I can see how I've changed - but also what's stayed the same.
