Ched Nasad

Post by pijani »

Ched Nasad is a dark elves city ("Drow"), located in the Underdark.

The underground river is emerging somewhere from the rock, going trough the castle, and in beautiful waterfalls falls trough the cascade of the city, going deeper in the ground. Uncommonly for the Underdark, which is covered with fluorescent fungi, this city has a tree on a square on one level, probably maintained trough magic.
(follow the the links below)

Thus, city is known trough flow of water, and numerous waterfalls. Also, a big Church of Lloth is noticeable at the end of the city, as various stylish bridges between towers and buildings. Notice sacrifital pit at the top.
(follow the the links below)

This beautiful, elegant Drow city is highlight of Drow craftsmanship, imbued with magic and lingering silver spider webs. Politics and constant wars are main recognizable traits of the city, which does not bear scars from battles against beholders, fiends, dwarfs and other Drow, because it is often rebuild, every time made even taller and more magic.
(follow the the links below)

Guard tower, securing entrance to the east part of town, where the church is. Shot from below, and on top.
(follow the the links below)

City is home to many Drow, but also to the even number of slaves, from almost all species known to world.
(follow the the links below)

It is raided by Paladins girl-only attack at the moment. Paladins party (Sword sisters) is quite resolved in purging this tall city, but this will prove to be more than a challenge, because we can spot Drittz among defenders, updated from the Ust Natha fight. Also, amongst Drow defending the city is Viconia (remember her from Baldur's Gate? :) ). Anyway, at the moment she still worships spider goddess Lloth, and she will come to love night goddess Shar later on (maybe in next MOC? :) ).

And, of course, there is Bodhi in the city, a vampire, sister of the Irenicus. She is searching for the help of the matron mother, and she will get it. She is surrounded with her vampire and undead companions, which are guarding her.
Bodhi

Entrance tower is equipped with magic imbued pillar, used as a beacon, as a testimonial of the Ched Nasads Drow great power.

Trough the city, we can notice lava fountain, snake pit, hunter's house, five large bridges and two ground ones, sacred tree, fire pit and the slums.

I am double posting so I can use the first thread for presentation (and story:), when everything is finished :)

I am building this MOC for first (I think) big Lego exhibition in Belgrade, Serbia, which should occur at the and of the year ;)

Anyway, it should be the biggest and most complex MOC I've ever made, and here I will inform you about the construction and everything else that I think that would be interesting for you guys (and girls:)

Special attention will be focused at minifigs, with few nice surprises and hope that every minifig of more or less 200 will be unique

Are you reading the Drizzt stories or the War of the Spider Queen series?

Nope, I've never get around to getting them
But I'm a writer (on my native language :), and two of my books are epic fantasy genre, and there are characters and mentioning of Drow nations. They are not called Drow, but "dark elves"

If I've ever get translated, I will post something in "non Lego" thread :)

The altlantis fig looks like a mummy if it stands before a red background...
The other fig do I like more.
It looks very good with that helmet (good use for the unicorn horns) and the armour, the only thing that doesn't fit very well are the legs.
You can see my MoCs on my Flickr Account and you can see them also on my Blog where you also can read the stories behind the MoCs...but in german.

I know, but those are Woody's gigantic legs, and they do not come in a variety of colors )
So, that is a giant) (Looks a little like Hurlock general from dragon age - origins )
And I do not like customising, so I will not paint it... let's call him a fancy Drow giant, or a monster with good taste in clothing ;)
here's something else:

Tnx, this is just an intro, while I build the castle - but I am continually rebuilding, with new ideas, so I never get around to actually posting some of construction pictures :)

To give something interesting, I am posting minifigs from this town :)
I must say that my budget is very low (there is none :) ), and all of these parts are handpicked over bricklink
Anyway, here's something new:

I like both of the two new guys.
The left one is an cool startan drow with an great spider shield and the right one looks very evil. The hat is very cool, and the torso too.
Is the torso from Exoforce?

Too cool!
I like nearly all of them. Especially the really evil looking!
Your combos do I like very much, I've never dreamed about combine a caveman with a orc amror and a Vulcano head to create a hobgoblin!

Here's something new:
Until I've clarify if work in progress can be uploaded and MOC still be a part of contest, I will post few participants of Ched Nasad :)

DROW RULE SUPREME!
Image
Everyone who played Baldur's Gate 2 remembers this war shout just before the attack :)
While in the Ust Natha this http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Angel ... mbs/(before).jpg Drow elf-girl was my favourite,
I must admit that this fine looking fellow is favorite in Ched Nasad: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4692294]http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4692294
In this town we will meet few heroes from the previous Drow city viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19323]Ust Natha], but upgraded and leveled up, like Drittz: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=469225

Regarding Ched Nasad, this beautiful, tall, sparkly Drow city is, for some reason, being attacked by the paladins And for a change there are no elves, dwarfs and other non-professionals :) here's few:

Winged snake:--------------------------------------------Drow patrolling:

And for the end I've reserved my favorite (bearded) witch :)

I know that I am a little stingy with information about this castle, particularly with the pictures, but I am waiting for the CCC to start before I post any pictures of the castle... Rules are quite clear about posting images before the start.
Anyway, it is not even finished, and I am not talking about details, half of the towers do not have their roofs :)

Anyway, until CCCC, here's few minifigs :)
Drow will have Traals, and Paladins are girls-only adventures party :)
