Well, you've made a nice impression here with this MOC. Very impressive. That is a lot of bricks. It does look a little spartan without some figures, but that's a minor point. I would like to see what figures you choose to honor by using them on this castle. Thank you for sharing this.

Dear Ye Olde Republic,
first of all, I love all your creations, you are a great builder, surely much more than I will ever be.
Thanks a lot for your comments, they will help me to progress for my next models.
I agree with you, but my first wish was to create an architectural model of the Krak as similar as possible to the original one and "breathing life" wasn't my purpose. My attention was concentrated on architectural details, shapes, layout. I'm fascinated by the building itself definitely, it's the true star! I tried to put some minifigs inside, but I confess that my stock in minifigs and barrels is very limited, please don't forget that Krak is my first creation, so I need time to buy furnitures!
However, I don't agree for tan colour: I assume that the true colour of Krak is more near to "yellowed white" than tan, especially if you look at it from a little distance.
I think tan bricks are more indicated for my next model whic will be Belvoir Castle, another Crusaders and Hospitallers' castle, but I cannot build it in tan because I don't have any ones! It's a big investment (5 or 6,000 USD) which I cannot afford, so I'll recycle my white bricks.
See you soon for this new model!
Thanks again,
sincerely,

Dan

Hello! When I first saw the pic on brickshelf it looked plain, once I clicked on a few photos i was amazed! :o The architectural detail is amazing.

How many pieces did you use for this creation? If I ever have enough pieces I would love to go for something huge like this. Trade you some minifigs for bricks? lol keep it up!

From Dan76 to Dan82 (it's funny!)
Hey Dan, it's you, I've looked many and many times on your pics on BS, your work is amazing, your Crusader's Fortress is fantastic, I'd wish I could do a such beautiful landscape for my Krak.
I don't know how many pieces it is, I'll count them when I'll dismantle it, and sorry, I don't trade my yellowed bricks, I love them, I'm so jalous about them!!! :)
Keep bricking Dan, and thanks for your comment.
Sincerely,

Dan

The batters in and of themselves are a huge creation!

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!
