Hi all,

it has been a while, since my last castle creation and I am proud to present you this one..... (I have tried to build in forced perspective)

Ancient Categorie:

War has come!

War has come!...
The Roman legions occur everywhere....
They also do not stop at our holy places....
We need to grant them leave....
They burn the temple on the holy mountain....
They will pillage and kill us all!...
War has come! ....

Very nice. I was really liking your forced perspective until I got to the overview pic and then it was kind of hard to get my brain to be fooled again. :(

Hey Skalldyr very good entry. Lets hope you'll sweep the ancients category. I love the flames in the background.

I really like those micro soldiers, the capes and shields are great. I really like the building to the left, with the flames behind it. Gives you a sense of continued action that the city behind it is in flames. Good luck in the contest!

Great use of the ladders, and as others have said, the soldiers and flames are awesome. Good luck in the contest!

Great forced perspective and really nice work on the small soldiers down in front! The use of the large flame pieces works well here too, which goes against what I would have thought. Excellent entry all around!

Wow, all you mini-castle builders are really pulling out all the stops. This is great. I particularly like the colors and the shapes -- it makes a nice, complete, interesting picture to look at. (I'm not sure if that makes sense; if I knew more about art I could probably use terms like "balance" and "composition".) For example, I really like how the flames on one roof sort of match the red tiling on the other roof. Similar colors, but radically effects for the actual building. And then all the green really balances it out.

Okay, I'll stop rambling about things about which I know nothing.

Good job! ;-)
