Just as clarification, do all the pictures have to be that small, or should I only do one or two that size? I'm not very good at resizing images to that scale, so I want to know so I don't screw up again and end up on a 'naughty list' *shudders*

If you post them to Flickr, you can right-click on the picture and it will give you several resolution options. Choose the one that's "med 500" or something like that and it will give you one that is an acceptable dimension for this site. (at least, that's how I usually post pics to this forum)

Hope that helps!

Only the picture you insert in your post on the forum has to be 400x500 px. This is a forum rule, not a contest rule. If you don't know how to resize photos you can simply create a text link to your creation wherever it's hosted, without showing a picture on the forum - it'll still count :)

I thought I would try out this contest. This is a precariously placed castle with only one point of entry, through the fortified bridge.

I love this competition, and have been waiting awhile for it! Thanks for hosting it :) Also, I didn't want to clutter the thread with dozens of post that would be difficult to find, so here is the thread that will be frequently updated! You may have already seen it, but just wanted to post a link here and remind people that the original post is updated, as well as announce that the esteemed Blake Baer will be joining us on this storyline and micro style with a second volume with four chapters! :)
In the end we'll all enter our sets as the combined chapters for the contest entries.

This is my first microbuild and my first time building a castle... might as well accomplish two new things at once! :o

Image

I modeled it with Bojnice Castle in mind, a fairy-tale-like castle in Slovakia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bojnice_Castle).
