HAHA, We'll assume that if they don't post it after the end of today, they will probably tell us why. *hint hint

lol. Those pesky wives! They really do tend to be quite the bother, eh? :tasty:
Haha, those of us who are employed/married understand, Bruce. These young whippersnappers will just have to learn to be patient.

That said, is it just me, or does Brickshelf seem to be down on a semi-regular basis? I think people should start using Flickr for contest entries. It seems more reliable.

Seriously guys...as one who runs a LOT of contests...patience. It is not easy to find time to sort thru all of the entries. The CCC has a waiting time when all of the people on the "naughty list" have to fix their errors. And THEN they can start judging. Being persistent, pushy, and in general lacking in understanding of the fact that they judging is not posted yet, well..its just plain rude.

I know all of these men, personally. Not one of them would intentionally make you wait. But life DOES exist. Family and obligations DO exist. Not one of them is the type to drag their feet and make people wait just because they do not want to.

Judging is not easy. Holy moses it is not easy. And it takes time, a clear mind, no distractions and for goodness sakes..these men do not get paid to do this. They do it for their love of this forum and their members.

Now, you have been asked not to be a pest about this. Warned by mods and admins alike. Today, you are being borderline pests. So, I am asking you once again...to stop.

Patience is a virtue. Patience is a challenge. Rudeness is unbecoming.

Be grateful that this contest exists year after year...and knock it off before the almighty and powerful admins start to hand out some consequences for being a borderline pest.

Maybe it's time for a custom minifig knight, with a slogan on his shield: "Mihi patientiam usque in finem mundi"

lol, if there is one thing you figure out really fast around here, it's that Blue doesn't mess around! :twitch:

Straighten up the ranks, troops! Hold steady and hang in there, else you be severely punished for your petty whimperings. :orc:

Thanks to all of the Admins for taking the time to do this. We all definitely appreciate all of the time and effort that goes into hosting/moderating/judging such a massive contest.

Keep up the good work!

Hey now, I was trying to be nice with that post.

But in all seriousness, if you are reading this thread and new around here, it does come across as impolite toward the admins, which is sort of sad because this contest takes a TON of work to pull off.

First, let me say that I, like everyone else, am eagerly awaiting the results, whenever they do get posted. This is not a whiney comment, just a statement of fact and should not be taken otherwise.

Secondly, as much as the members of this forum must understand that the admins are doing their best to get the results to us, the members are excited to hear what those are. I know from experience that this back and forth happens every year between the two groups. I have not seen anyone being overly rude or impatient this year, in fact, I am very surprised at how well behaved everyone has been. Both sides of this conversation just need to have a bit more understanding towards the other. The members worked very hard for two months to make these creations, and the admins have been working hard for a month judging them. Neither is more right, it is a tough situation, more patience and understanding on both sides is called for.

Thirdly, and please remember everything above before ripping me, but I do not understand why the judges must wait until every entry is approved before judging anything? Bluesecrets' post says that they must wait, but entries come rolling in for months, and if they are not being compared to each other but rather being judged on a point scale, it should not matter. I am not saying this to be a complainer, but more to try to help the admins out for next year by suggesting something to make their lives a bit easier. If there is something I am missing, then I apologize, but every year the admins seem more annoyed at we, the people, and I thought this might help ease the tensions.

Take your time, judge well, and we will be very excited whenever the results are posted. Thanks to everyone who has organized, entered, and judged this wonderful event! (I hope no one's moc fell crashing to the floor for this!)

Just going to post some stats concerning when CCC results have been posted:

CCC I: Feb 6
CCC II: Feb 18
CCC III: Feb 15
CCC IV: Feb 5
CCC V: Jan 26
CCC VI: Jan 26
CCC VII: Jan 28
CCC VIII: Feb 8

If one takes those dates, the average time when the results were announced would be February 6th The earliest it was ever announced was Jan 26, and the latest was Feb 18th. History can teach a lot.
