MOD Falconmoore Hall - Kingdoms Standard BF Castle

Hi all,

Similar to my Flying Dutchman and along the same logic I've given up on any Black Falcon Castles in the Kingdoms lines. However, it seems lego has offered enough tools for us to make our own Falcon castles with relative ease. This one is based on a modified version of Vampyre Castle from the Monster Fighter Line. Removing all the goofy monster fighter stuff actually makes this a pretty charming castle. I've also built up a Falcon army to populate the Castle based on the new standard of minifigs.

The basic MODs include; Black Falcon People , Flags, Falcons to replace the Bats, Clock Tower, Moving Cauldron, Falcon Shields at the front, and an Armory/Barracks.

Apologies for the small pictures, I have the habit of tilting my camera to the side which doesn't work too well with the size limit, unless I want to be turning heads

this castle actually looks awesome now, because the monster line castle looks and is childish ofcourse. When you have removed all that stuff and replaced it with black, grey, falcon stuff and real medieval accessories, it looks good. Those troops look really good that way, the black works great, no need for blue. Great work man.

Nice design and I really like the figures. The Black Falcon colors do the castle true justice; none of that Monster Fighters stuff.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've been working on this for a while but I've only just got around to posting as I didn't want too much brick link competition for cheap bulk Viking and black falcon parts from the new kingdoms set :p. All parts used on official Lego; King is black beard the queen is mrs. Malfoy. I really wanted to use la'strange but she had too much flesh for it to work. However, the crown is a very old one ( from the royal knight castle ) and looks silver in comparison to a kingdoms standard crown so I guess that's kinda a mod but not really :p

This is probably the best set modification I've seen. You kept enough the same that it's easy to tell what it was, but you gave it new character. Great job!
