Here is a recent moc of mine...this one is from LOTR and it depicts Gandalf escaping orthanc with the aid of Gwaihir, lord of the great eagles...

Thank you for your reply...Once I figured out the wings the rest of the eagle kind of fell into place...I could imagine TLG making a similiar official set like this...the wings are very sturdy and really have the feeling and apppearance of feathers, to me, and they can take a beating without falling apart too...Thank you again, any other thoughts?
