LCC - Garheim - Free Build - Dragansruth River Cure

Post by gurusql »

Kroth Stonegrinder and his squire Lanseril Snowmantle rode hard both traveling to the mouth of the Dragansruth River in Lenfald and back. As Kroth and his squire returned to Havenhill he was intercepted by Lord Aldolphus’ sage, Agmund the Wise. Agmund tells Kroth that the Lady’s health has weakened and that he should take the Draganruth’s water straight to her. He suggests to Kroth that he should clean up and change his clothes before coming to see the Lord or Lady of the castle. After quickly washing his hands and face he hurries down to see if his mission was a success.

He finds the lady of the castle sitting up in her bed and saying, “Agmund while the effects of this cure are certainly remarkable and I feel better than I have in many a week, I wish the water was not so sour. I am not a fan of even lemons and this water sure tightens the back of my tongue like a mighty dragon would.”

After having traveled to the mouth of the Dragansruth River and had to deal with the smell of sulfur that even now has not completely gotten out of his armor, Kroth knows that Agmund did not give the Lady of Castle the water that returned with, even if he did not notice that the container that Agmund was using was not the one he had carried for some many miles. Not wanted to let on that something might be amiss and certainly happy that Lord Aldolphus’ wife is doing better, Kroth smiles and fades back into the background, but he will be watching Agmund the Wise with a renewed interest.

Made as a free build to end a chapter in my Heroes Guild story, and set-up the next one. :D

I like the flooring. Very nice!
You've got to ask yourself one question,"Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya, punk?

very nice moc :) I think the trans blue 1x1s around top of the wall are a bit odd, but I like that the minifig in the bed is off to one side instead of centered like they normally are.

Trechary is afoot! The plot has thickened! :)

Nice little free build. I like how you tied it into the guild story without it being an actual guild entry. Now THAT is what this project is all about! Weaving your story together through your MOCs :)

Yes I agree entirely! all of my LCC builds so far have one contiguous back story. Anyway, I really like the detailing of the room, Though I agree with lord_of_the_orks, those round plates would look better in brown, tan, or DK grey  .

Thank you for all your comments and thoughts.
  • My thinking on the trans-blue pieces at the top was this was the Lord and Lady's room and they have blue (the colors for Garheim) gems around the top. That at least what I was going for.
  • I had the Lady on the the side of the bed for two reasons, one the Lord should be sleeping on the other side and two it worked out better for the pieces I had. :)
Thank you for all the positive comments on the story, I have what will hopefully be a bit of fun planned for the next few builds.

The pattern on the floor is a nice touch, and the map on the wall is neat.
The Lady looks rather angry in the picture

Thanks, I was trying for the curled lips when you have something sour, but of course that is an angry face. :)
