Today was the launching of the Nereid. A ship sent by Lord Wolfsong to Stonewald to join the fleet of our nation, Lenfald, requested by the High Lord himself. As we hit a large wave I felt the power in her, The Nereid. I am the Captain, John Windswept. My parents died in a terrible storm on the high seas. After that I vowed to sail in any weather. Braving more storms since then, I have now learned how to sail confidently in any weather. This first wave was a great test of The Nereid and her crew. I saw how they reacted to the wave and I learned that I had to teach these “sailors” how to truly sail. Will, one of my crew who is an experienced sailor and is fast on land and in the water, fell off of the top mast when we hit the wave. Thankfully he was unharmed and he caught up quickly with the ship as we slowed to wait for him. Our cook Agthor, a Garhim who believes all food is better with some kick in it, fell over and spilled his bottle all over the deck. He’s now cleaning it up. My first mate, Jeff, kept his cool through all this. I have never once seen him rise up in anger and in the midst of a storm he remains calm. “Monkey”, for that is what we call him almost fell out of the crow’s nest, but managing to hang on he did not. Also part of our crew are some of the Wolfsclaw, fine archers and swordsman they are, they seemed to keep steady somewhat. This crew has many skills that can be great with the right training. Tomorrow we begin.

Wow, that is a pretty cool way to show off the boat, that wave is awesome. I like the minifigure falling out of the crow's nest too.
You would rather be building right now.

That wave is pretty sweet! I also like that you didn't use a prefab hull.

The way you've done the wave is really neat. The boat also looks very nicely crafted with a great use of a 32x32 space (assuming it is 32x32) by adding a dynamic out of the confined space to which so many builders stick to (including myself :tasty: ). Great job, love to see what you've got up next.

This is a really beautiful ship. The hull is expertly crafted and curved, and the falling sailor adds a nice touch. The wave is awesome; it gives the MOC some action.

The wave is stunning, probably one of the best I have seen! The cabin area is also very nice .
Keep up the excellent work, For Lenfald :D

Everyone thank you! :)
I really enjoyed making the wave. It took me a while to get it at the right angles especially since the whole weight of the boat is supported by it!
Again...Thanks!
