Carpenter's Shop

Post by soccerkid6 »

Here is a carpenter shop in the City of Valholl. It has a full interior and the door opens.

It's good, but definitely not your best. Maybe Putting some brown sideways tiles in place of bricks for the timber section would give it a more realistic feel. Some mottling on the wall couldn't hurt either. :)

I agree with you that it's not my best, I seem to have trouble doing a really good timberframe :?
Unfortunately I don't have near the pieces neccesary to do SNOTed tiles for the timber sections, as for the wall it's quite new and around the capitol city

Here is an amazing tutorial that covers how to do a timber frame, among many other techniques. The Pieces are pretty common, and it is definitely worth it to make an order from bricklink, as it will really bring your MOCs to the next level. :D

I've read that guide multiple times, but thanks for the reminder as I had forgotten alot of the basic ideas. I guess I know what will be in my next BL order, thanks again for the very helpful comments :D

No problem! I'm looking forward to seeing a MOC from you with that technique incorporated! :)
