Avalon (A connectionless build)

Post by Siercon and Coral »

**The entire creation below was built without ANY connections.**

Image

This was build for the third round of contest where the challenge was to build "outside the box". I was fiddling with a new technique and thought, "What would be more outside the box, than to create an entire lego display without any connections at all"... This was the result :)

This, (I think) is a new building technique which is a mixture of a cardhouse and jenga... just, with legos! :) Very stressful and terrifying to build, as the slightest slip or lean meant catastrophe :P
Here's a close up, and I'll post a video later on tonight of the destruction! :D

Hope you guys like it!

Must have been like those domino designs. Did you have any catastrophes along the way?

It's definitely a beautiful creation. Too bad you couldn't spray on a glue compound afterward to keep it all in place.

Cool! Like your last "build", you used uncommon methods to achieve astonishing, eye catching results.
You would rather be building right now.

Wow, that's amazing, great work! Funnily enough, I thought of trying something like this, but I never got around to it.

You must have a steady hand and some serious patience. It looks great.

Fun idea. Just ignore all the great features of lego 8)

If you bring it to lego world, then I am impressed :tasty:
