Hey
This is my entry for the Landscape Contest at Flickr. It's my first time I tried to build a swamp (or something similar) and I'm quite content with it . I would like to get your feedback on it. Thank you :)

Beautifully done! The swamp is terrific and the wooden castle design is top-notch :D

This is great! I love the transparent green tiles, and the timber planking technique that you used. It works beautifully! :)

Thank you ;) It's inspired by the category "Wooden Castle" of CCC (especially Shmails entry).

Great job! I like the different colors underneath the trans green tiles, as well as the wooden castle wall.

Hey,

I think you were really successful at getting a natural shape around the water's edge. It's particularly nice that you put the plants along the edges on top of trans plates, so you get little bits of water peeking through, which makes it look more naturally swampy. I might have built up a little bit of a slope to the wall, just because I think the ground there would be too wet to actually build on, so it would make more sense if the fortress were built on a slightly raised rocky bit, but it looks really nice.

Thank you for the compliment and the suggestion, I'll keep that in mind for next time (I might do more swamp MOCs, because I've bought pieces only for this). :)

Oh, so many Monty Python quotes come to mind right now. Anywho,

The landscaping is beautiful. Looks really natural. The duck, cross, and tree are probably my favorite parts. As far as logistics go for build in a swamp, I'm not really too concerned, but I think that the castle/fort could be put at a more dynamic angle as it looks a little flat/empty.

Anywho, really great MOC,
