LCC: Towncenter (AoE2)

Postby Buurli » Mon Jan 14, 2013 6:24 am

Hey guys
I built a towncenter from AoE2, my favourite game after AoE3... I hope you like it :)
Have a great day!
Simon

This is really nice! My favorite detail is the white turntable bases on the roof. It adds just a subtle bit of texture that is fantastic.

Really enjoying your MOCs lately, Buurli!

Outstanding work Simon! The posing of the minifigures is excellent.

I like the color pallet you're using here, and the scorpion in the back is a nice touch.

Very nice. My favorite part is the use of the turntable bases as floor mosaics.

Great work! Between this and the farm of Peter de Yeule you guys are inspiring me to finally do a Britons Castle age castle build. I know exactly how I would pull this off too.... Lots of Grey...... :tasty:

The dark tan layer at the top of the walls is great. Overall, this is a nice, clean build.
You would rather be building right now.

Yes, Peter de Yeule's windmill also inspired me to do finally a AoE2 Moc. Also, I might continue it and build something more, but first I want to build for the MELO (Middle Earth Lego Olympics) over at MOCpages. Have a great day!

How did you get the round tiles to stick to the wall?

They're boat studs... There are 2x1 technic bricks in the wall, than a stud pressed in the whole and the boat stud connected to the stud... get it? :raiseone:

Where did you get the dark red hats for the guys on the roof?

I want to buy some.
