LCC GC3 - Assault on Necromancer Spire
My entry for Phase II of the current Global Challenge for the LCC project (stories forum)
The basic premise of this MOC is that the "good" factions are invading the evil mystic island in an attempt to purge the magical beings from their world once and for all.
Comments and criticisms welcome. Enjoy!

Love the idea of a tower perched on a cliff and you carried it out nicely. I especially like the path winding up the mountain and the fire effects
John 14:6, Jesus answered, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Ditto to the ^ soccerkid, the path carved out of the rock is great. I definitely think the first picture has the angle where you can see what's going on and yojr character.

Admire the entire MOC. Not one flaw here, and how you got all those flames to stay in perfect shape is impressive!

Those flame streams are fantastic. The whole MOC is very well put together.

Re: LCC GC3 - Assault on Necromancer Spire
You did a great job on this, AK. I especially like the long strands of fire, the curves in there are pretty sweet. The path that is built into the mountain is also awesome, and I can imagine it was a bit tricky to build. The one thing I am not totally sold on is the tower itself. It just seems a bit too simple to portray an evil mood. I think some sort of pointed roof, or making the whole thing taller and skinnier may have helped. However, as a whole, the scene does come together very nicely.

This is a really cool build! I agree the building on it isn't scary enough. It doensn't suit it's inhabitants! The fire strands are really awesome and menacing!

Re: LCC GC3 - Assault on Necromancer Spire
Thanks for the comments, guys.
I do agree that the building could be quite a bit better. I actually had built the rock spire for something else, but hadn't used it for anything yet and re-purposed it to work for this MOC. Because of this, it wasn't really meant to receive a tower on top, and as such wasn't very conducive to the sort of structure that would really do my flame-wielders justice.
Perhaps I'll redo the building this week since I won't be up against such a hard deadline. I was on vacation for a good portion of this stage of the GC, so I only had a limited amount of time to get everything finished up.
Thanks again, everyone

Jordan,
You have have really stepped it up sir! The landscaping looks fantastic, rockwork is perfect, and those flames are rediculous. You can just see the searing ownage about to transpire.
The only thing I would say is you could have made the building more "Eeeevil " Awesome work sir!

Have I mentioned how awesome I think this is? Well I will now: You've done a beautiful job on that spire, and those supports look really cool. My favorite part is (weirdly) the large boulders that you've scattered around the path.

Thanks Frisky and Fraslund!
Frisky, the boulders are probably my 2nd favorite part, after the spire. Glad you liked them
