Colossal Castle Contest X - the winners!

Post by Bruce N H »

Hi all,

This year I have the honor* of announcing the winners of this year's contest, CCC X. I'm sure I speak for all of the judges in saying that the quality of the entries this year was amazing. It speaks to the power of the Castle theme, the creativity of the LEGO community, and the skills found in this forum specifically that each year pushes the bar higher than the year before. I was also particularly excited that this contest inspired the most participation of any we've held yet in a decade of this contest. There were so many great entries that it was hard to choose winners, and we list a number of honorable mentions for each category on the Colossal Castle Contest X Winning Entries page. Thank you from the CC staff to all who participated, and please join me in congratulating the winners.

Category winners, please PM Ben with your contact information so we can ship prizes. The Master Builder will be announced in a few days.

Yay! It must have been pretty hard to choose the best entries, if it took so long...
Anyway, Congrats to all participants, for the amount of work done to build such miraculous MOCs, and mostly to the winners. I must say that this year I predicted some of them right.
And thanks to people who find time and courage to organise the contest - tenth time already!

PS: Sorry for ignorance, but could you clarify what nick Ben has? I never remember the real-life names of people...
PS2: Found that: architect. But still - I was confused. :)

YUS!

What can I add to Toltomeja's comment? Nothing, I totally agree with everything what he said.

Big thanks again!

Indeed, thanks a lot to all the judges and donators for giving us another great winter of building. And, of course, to all the brilliant entrants. Like Bruce said, it's amazing how this little community can keep pushing its standards every year :)

Congrats to all the winners and many thanks again to those who ran the contest, provided prizes, and did all the judging. There were so many great entries this year, I had a hard time keeping up with them. I really had a lot of fun building for this and I enjoyed seeing all the great creations.

Well done to everyone who won, entered, judged and donated i'd say. I didnt follow the contest as closely as previous years so i cant comment on the entries but I can go back and absorb them all now that it's all done. Congratulations!

Congrats to all the winners, and thanks to the admins for organising, and the prize donors as well. I thought I'd followed the contest pretty closely, but there were obviously some entries that snuck in, that I'll need to go back and check out.

I'm pleased with my honourable mention for my first CCC, next year... MASTER BUILDER!... (yeah maybe not...) :tasty:

Great job everyone, and thanks to the admins for slogging through 400+ entries. Your job surely isn't easy, though I'm sure it is a lot of fun to go through all of the MOCs.

Master Builder is going to be CLOSE this year! Can't wait to see who it is! :)

Similar sentiments as the others. Great work to all of the builders and congratulations to the winners! And of course thanks to the CC admins. Stumbling upon pics from this contest a couple years ago was one of the major factors in ending my dark ages. This contest is such a great thing for the AFOL community.

Congratulations to all the people who entered into the contest and those who won and got honorable mentioned. You all did an amazing job! All the sets looked great and a job well done by the people who had the difficult task in voting. Good thing I'm not on that voting team, or I would say everyone won
