[LCC][Outlaws] self-appointed tax collectors

Postby Rifiröfi » Sun Feb 24, 2013 8:06 pm

Hello everyone,

here is my first LCC free build featuring the famous SEAL unit of outlaws.

Image

Due to a major rockslide one of the main trade routes at the southern border of Garheim became blocked. Merchants and travellers are forced to choose smaller and less secure paths.

Opportunity makes the thi... self-appointed tax collector: Wolfgang's gang follows the fair tax system "robbing from the rich... and everyone else".

Cheers

Very cool! Love the colorscheme and the story is great as well.

Neat landscape, I especially like the elevation changes. Cool figs as well and the bird is great :)

Clearly those "tax collectors" have their priorities straight... collecting bacon seems like an EXCELLENT idea!

I'm with SK on the landscaping, it is nice with the mix of rockwork and foliage. I do wish the path was a lighter color though. With the big grey wall on the right side of your forum pic, the dark grey is a bit overpowering.

I also agree about the grey being a little much, but overall the vegetation and landscape looks good. Go outlaws! :orc:

Very nice work! The road area may be a tad plain, but nonetheless a great job overall! :)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

The colour scheme could definitely be improved, I understand the the dark grey seems to bit too much but I kinda like it. The story of the SEAL team will continue soon at this very spot, I hope I'll be able to make it more colorful.

This was my first attempt to create bushes and small trees w/o using normal bricks:
- for the bush with the bird on it I used sea grass as trunk, it worked very well
- for the other trees I used mechanical arms with some pneumatic T pieces

It is not only excellent, but also delicious! :)

There are also some more shots from different angles on Flickr, please have a look at them, too (if you haven't done it yet).

I love the colour scheme = sometimes less is more and it gives it a feeling of sparseness or bleakness which is the kind of place an outlaw would live
