LCC-Heroes Guild-A1 "Heading North"

Heading North:

The clatter of swords could be heard throughout Ainherlaf as Lenfel troops sparred each other. Andared was content to watch in silence for the most part, although he did give instructions from time to time. The men at Ainherlaf learned quickly, and had become adept at using both spear and sword. While Andared considered these things, a horseman bearing the standard of Stonewald arrived at the gates.

"Hear ye, men of Ainherlaf!" the messenger's voice boomed across the outpost. "Two nights ago, the king of Roawia was murdered in his chambers. Shortly thereafter, it was discovered that this was the work of Loreesi assassins."
A ripple of murmurs and grunts went throughout the crowd that was now gathering around their visitor.
"Our lord Triphian the First, ruler of Lenfald, has declared this to be a state of emergency. With the king dead, his crown and all that it entails is at risk. Loreos has all but declared war, and Garheim cannot be far behind.
Therefore, the king has declared that every man of Lenfald shall take up arms, and report at his nearest barracks, where the barracks commanders shall await further instruction. Any Loreesi or Garheim found in the province of Lenfald is to be treated as hostile, and shall be detained until such time as their innocence is proven, or peace has arrived.

Thus declares Lord Triphian the First," with that, the messenger turned, and rode off.

Immediately the crowd of men burst into a flurry of conversation. Andared, however, did not concern himself with it. Taking out a small parchment of paper, he quickly scrawled a note to the captain of Ainherlaf, which read:

"Am leaving on important business. Prepare your men well. War is at your doorstep."

Folding the letter, he wedged it into a small slit on the door leading to the great hall, mounted his horse, and rode out of Ainherlaf.

Fantastic job, man! The single mountain in the background really adds a "lonely" feel to the build quite well. My only nitpick would be the hill sloping up to the road is a bit to pattern-like for my taste. Maybe try breaking up the landscape my adding plates at different heights. :)

I agree with Justin, also the background could perhaps be a bit more interesting.
