Hey all,
After long delay (which is entirely my fault and for which I apologize), here are the results for the Mini Castle Contest VIII.
The third runner up is Toltomeja's great Avell Castle.
Second runner up is The Queen and I, by Gid617.
First runner up is Goblin Attack, by Cmaddison.
And finally ...drumroll, please... with a triumphant return to CC after a long absence, Legofreak, with his Orc Castle:
Congratulations to Freak and all of the participants. This was tough to judge as there were a lot of great entries.

Congrats to all! It took some waiting, but building microscale is always fun and I'm glad MCC returned after a year of break.

Thanks for hosting, Bruce. It was really fun to see all of the microscale stuff. I've never built in that scale, so it was a good learning experience for me to see a lot of techniques from everyone.

Congrats on the win. It was one of my favourites too. It combined the heroica feel with great microscale building.

Congrats to all the winners! I love seeing all the entries for this, as I haven't ever built micro-scale myself either. SO many great techniques and amazing detail can be used with so many little pieces.

Ooh, so close!
Great job and congratulations to Freak and the other placing entries, and a big thanks to the judges for placing my entry, as well as all the other contestants - really awesome builds all around.
That covers literally everyone, I think.

So,I closed my eyes, then woke up a year (or several more) later only to learn about this contest... and, lo and behold, the Freak has taken yet another C-C contest again! Amazing.
Well done, Freak. Okay, back to the Wizard's cave.
