Built for the Landscapes of Mitgardia group project in Guilds of Historica. Another build to experiment with some landscaping techniques: SNOT rocks, overhanging angled plates, and using trans clear as melting snow/ice.

I really like this, the melting snow/ ice technique is brilliant.

Do you use other pieces to hold the plates in place? Are they similar to your tile method? I am trying to figure it out with little luck :?

The plates are really simple, you just put these:

Underneath the plates then build around/over the tops of the plates to cover gaps. The How-To page has an excellent article on it: http://www.classic-castle.com/howto/art ... howto.html the section on angled plates in landscapes is a little past halfway through the article. The whole thing is worth reading though, there are many great tips/techniques in the How-To page :)

@LettuceBrick: Thank you :)

@Aeridian: Thanks, I had a lot of fun building it :)

@Purple Wolf: Thank you, I had been meaning to do a scene focused around a rock outcropping like this for a while and finally got around to it :)
