Fall 22 x 22 - Dragon Lance

Post by Quickblade22 »

I wanted to try a 22 x 22 base MOC using an autumn motif. I settled on using characters from on of my favorite series, Dragon Lance. Here is a link to the top scene in a bigger size. LINK!

Custom Items include:
BrickForge accessories
Brick Warriors weapons
Alt Bricks leaves and weeds
Brick Fortress Mini-legs
Cape Madness cape
Custom decals by myself and LegoFreak

I really like how you made the trees, they look pretty sweet. The combos on the figs are fantastic as well.

I like how you nailed the characters pretty well, Tanis, Sturm, etc. A very nice scene here.

Great scene! It's been years since I've read any Dragonlance books but I still have some. The Legend of Huma and Stormblade were always my favorites but Kaz the Minotaur was cool, too. Love the fall foliage.

Thanks for the comments. I enjoyed making this but had a heck of a time deciding what minifigs to put in it. I decided to go with DragonLance characters in tribute to my love of that series.

Thanks!! It didn't turn out as well as I liked, but still not bad for getting the detail in the size I wanted.

Yea, there are not many of us, but there are some. LegoFreak made the Tasslehoff torso decal years ago and I still had it applied to this figure. I'll keep an eye out for your creations and you'll have to check out my custom Lord Soth with light up eyes, among my other DL figs.

Thanks, the trees are something I've had sitting around for most of the year. I had a Lenfeld inspired MOC sitting around that I never finished that I decided to take apart and use pieces for.

Thanks!! As better parts become available, I sometimes revisit the characters.

Thanks! I miss the days I spent nearly everyday for 3 years playing on a DragonLance modded server of Neverwinter Nights. The swamp vig I did a few months ago was inspired by the original cover of Weasel's Luck which was the first DL book I owned.

I would love to see that! I've been thinking of doing Soth, but haven't liked any of my attempts yet. Is he posted already?

This is from 3 years ago. New parts and better photoshop skills make me want to re-shoot him again. I'd have to redo the crown, but the LED still works. Maybe I'll have to get some Brick Warriors greaves and find him a sword.

The fall colors look great and I really like your border design. Cool fig combos too :)
