CCCXI Gisellicburg

Post by Mark of Falworth »

Gisellicburg is one of the proudest and mightiest cites of the Kingdom of Anselm. The entire metropolis is adorned with splendid palaces and grandiose buildings with columns of marble and windows of stained glass.
Countless streets and alleys are vigilantly guarded by the massive, ancient walls.
What secrets lie beneath the "city of the kings"? What hidden treasures and fortunes rest within...?

An entry to the Medieval Town Category of the CCCXI.

Well, I spent a lot more time then I planned to on this one. But I like how it turned out. ;)

Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

Awesome Job Mark! There is so much to love about this MOC. I love the fountain in the middle and also that network of underground passages to the hidden treasure. Great Idea. :) It really has a busy market place feeling to it and you have done a great job with the figs each doing different activities. The buildings are all great, but the one with the white columns is magnificent. Having the city walls extend down into the earth is a great detail as well. I have really enjoyed all of your Anselm builds. Keep of the great work.

Happy building,
Sir Valiant~

I really like all the different colors you used. From the buildings, to the dirt under the street, the walls and minifigs, it makes for an incredible creation. It has a realistic look to it, but you still pulled off the fantasy feel. Brilliant stuff Mark.

So much to say about this MOC, but I think the best thing about this is it gives the viewer many things at once in a limited area. I can only imagine if this was expanded to show the whole city.

Excellent build! I love the architecture - especially the building with the orange roof.

As I said on Flickr, this is simply awesome, but I didn't say that I think this is your best MOC yet. Keep at it man, I look forward to more from you! :D
