AK_Brickster's "Tablescrap Tutorials"

Post by AK_Brickster »

Hey guys,

Here are a collection of "Tablescrap Tutorials" that I've gathered which show useful building techniques for castle builders and are easily illustrated in only 2 or 3 photos. I will add more of my own as well as some by others as I come across them.

Enjoy!

These are awesome AK! It's nice to have a few pictures that explain the way a technique is done, for quick reference when building. I love the subtle offsets with the arches the best! Also, I hadn't realized how to make the window with minifigs legs until now. It's much easier than I thought. Thanks again for sharing these!

Happy Building,

I had seen all of these in MOCs, but hasn't actually tried quite a few of them, so this was a learning experience for me too! I'm glad that they will be helpful to you guys.

These were done with large stone walls in mind, but I'll try to cover more diverse subject material in future tutorials as I find time to do them :)

AK I'm so glad you posted these. I am going to "file" all of these in my castle building techniques. I have yet to attempt a castle, because quite frankly, they are very intimidating to me. I do imagine, though, the pay-off is well worth the investment.

Regardless, the vertical and crossbow openings I really enjoyed. I think these will be a necessary addition to overcome the "big gray wall." Thanks man, your contributions to this website, and the LEGO community as a whole are very well appreciated.

Just added an awesome window tutorial by Ichthuz on Flickr. It takes a little studying to figure out, but the result is just awesome!

I've also consolidated my own images into a set on flickr so that I can stay in compliance with the CC TOS in the original post by not having too many images in one post.

Enjoy!
