The Forestmen's Last Stand

The last few remaining Forestmen hold a beach-side fortress against the forces of evil, but their arrow stocks fall steadily, along with their physical capacity for battle...

This is good! How did you get the arrows to stick in the ground at that angle?

It's a pretty clever technique that I saw on a moc ages ago. The end of the arrows (switch handles) will just fit snugly into a corner between a stud and the sides of a plate. A picture can explain the spot better:
