LCC Global Challenge VI: A Glimmer of Hope
STARLESS SKY
In an ancient ruin near...there they stood...a Bounty Hunter, an Inn-Keeper, a Tailor, a Merchant and a Blacksmith holding a lighted torch...
"...so why do you get to be in the center old man? Curse your dramatics...what in abyssmal Megablocks are we all standing on top of these boring rocks for? I feel stupid as the brown cow you once sold me..." Sir Frost asked while staring at the Blacksmith's back hair.
"...coz you know nothing white hair...and this tradition is beyond us...a ritual imposed by the ancient bootleggers of Roawia...extending even before our bloodlines...this we do for luck...for we need em more than our wits and metals...harhar...so keep ye mouth nailed eh?..."
"... So repeat after me and lets get this over with eh lads and lady..."
I....
fall before thee winds of fate...
free as the eventide grass...
clenched upon dragon scales...
underneath the cloudless skies...
across stolen fears on ended shores...
drench me ale in broken glass...
seal the forgotten days we are...
trusting thee to carve my tale...
And dream of me...
when i die...
"...were u a bard in your old life Sir Blackfyre? Heart warming yeh? Ho ho ho....why these ruins for em chants? Any magic befall em perhaps?" Sir Gavel said.
"...magic....i never believed so...just plain ol traditions...harharhar...so lets get going you scums of the realm..."
"...where to?.." asked the Bounty Hunter.
"...since we are in this region, i suggest raiding my province, the land of Loreos first...i heared a farm not far from here was overtaken by the queens men and made as a supply outpost..." Lady Fair added.
"...lead then the way, m'lady..." Replied the Blacksmith.
It must be a start of something good, for the ground beneath their feet agreed of an adventure foretold...growing much brighter than that of thee starless sky...
To be continued...
