He could hear the rustling from just over the stream. One of the Lord's goats, thinking itself safe near the falls. Slowly he crept forwards. A flash of light betrayed an armoured guard high up on the walls, but guards were easily avoided. Besides, with their lord and master being held at the her majesty's pleasure, what were they going to care about one little goat? He crept forward slowly, letting the sound of the falling, crashing water cover his steps. Slowly, he drew himself up and notched his only arrow. One shot. Any more would be too easy. Besides, the guards might just match any missed arrows back to him. Couldn't have that. Exhaling, he drew his bow back to full draw, lay the arrow's deadly broadhead point over his target, and let fly.
