Vengeance In The Streets

Post by Brickninja »

My latest MOC for LCC, which sadly is now called LoR. I hope you like the MOC and story. It's also for my brawl with Brick Madness( Luke the Swift), so be sure to vote here once his entry is up! http://merlins-beard.com/thread/322/lor ... ollTo=4858

My first free build for June. I'm very proud of this one, I think it could be my best work yet! Of course if y'all think another one is better feel free to tell me in the comments ;)
Also thanks goes to my good Flickr friend Ieuan (Erathor Pridenar) for providing input and helping me shape up the looks of this MOC. Also, this is my entry to my brawl with Brick Madness, don't forget to vote once his entry is up! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story.

Sir Ian Ferguson and his troops rushed through the gates of Dunharris, preparing to fend off the attacks of any guards. He quickly decided to split his men into two squads. "Bjorn! Take Harald, Olaf, Angus, Connor and go down that way!" He gestured down an alleyway between rows of buildings."Everyone else!" He gripped his spear and borrowed shield. "Come with me." It was not long before the men of Garheim encountered resistance. A patrol of sable-clad Galainir's men led by a heavily armored soldier barred the way. "Thar's Ferguson, kill 'I'm! He's worth gold, boys!" The commander bellowed. Sir Ian backed away in trepidation, but tripped and fell backwards, smashing through the door of a house behind him. He was followed by one of Galainir's Dragon soldiers, who was hungry for the large sum of gold on Ferguson' head. Sir Ian quickly moved to the back of the dark house and crouched under a table. The enemy soldier cast his eyes around the darkness, seeking his target. Sir Ian silently slipped his knife from it's leather sheath. It was about 10 inches long, with a leather wrapped handle. It had been made in Southern Loreos, and was exotically curved in the style of the region, and formed from the finest steel. It was a gift from his father, who had had dealings in the area and has taught Ian to use it. Sir Ian gripped the blade now and prepared to send it spinning across the room. A sudden "YAAAAAARGH!!!" disrupted his concentration. The owner of the house who had evidently been sleeping in the room adjacent, charged across the room, and whacked the surprised soldier with a heavy cudgel. Sir Ian, taking his chance, swiftly rose up and flung the knife across the room, where it quickly put an end to the wicked soldier. "Thank you, good sir, for saving my house from this wretched soldier," the man stated."Now would you be interested in purchasing any--" "I can't talk now, there's a battle outside!" Sir Ian replied as he snatched his knife from the body of the fallen Dragon and dashed back outside to find the battle in full swing. The man followed him, evidently feeling the need to do his duty in the rebellion. The remainder of the enemy was quickly cut down by the Garhims, with only one casualty to the latter. Sir Ian personally dispatched the Commander in his anger after watching the man strike down one of the Garhims. They continued along the streets, lighting torches, as the element of surprise had worn away. Citizens began to join them, armed with tools and the occasional sword or spear. With their numbers bolstered, the Garhims easily dispatched any further resistance and eventually rejoined the second party. "Harald's down. Any of yours?" queried Bjorn. "Malcolm," Sir Ian stated sadly. "He went down fighting, though. Let his death not be in vain. COURAGE, HONOR, LOYALTY, FOR GARHEIM AND JARL EINDRIK!!" Sir Ian bellowed, rallying his troops forward. "DUNHARRIS SHALL BE OURS!!" The tide of envigored Garhims swept throughout the streets, and Dunharris was taken.

Thanks to all who read my long story! I have exciting things to come, so stay tuned in the next few months!
