I would like to come out with my Castle Creation in Classic Classic.com's Colossal Castle Contest category of "Out with the New"
Dang, that's a lot of Cs.....
The set I choose (In case you can't figure it out) is the Knights Kingdom II set, 8780 Citadel of Orlan. And now I am inspired to do another KK2 set....
Comments and criticism (More Cs!) won't be eaten by the snake.

Very nice, you got the Classic Castle vibe across very well

Very cool! That was the only KK2 set I never got. Brings back memories.

Nice Job E-Knight.
I always wanted this set when it came out but never had the funds to get it. Good re-creation with a very classic feel to it. This category is almost the opposite to what us MOCers do today. Instead of making a set look better with more techniques, you have to make it worse with less techniques and details. Good job all around, Keep it up!
Happy Building,
Sir Valiant~

Thanks for the replies! This was a very fun set. I had a great time when I got it. The build was pretty mediocre, but a fun set.

I loved that set! This is really great, you really translated the "new" Lego style into the "old" Lego style!

I'm biased, because I'm a hardcore fan of classic castle, even though I gave most of my stuff away when I was 27 and just recently started to collect again.... but the use of traditional walls and pieces is really nostalgic and delicious, on my end. Excellent work on the simplicity of the setup!

Well, the whole idea of the category is to build like it's the 1980's the those panel wall pieces are very much of the 1980s (And I really like em too)Zurem wrote:I'm biased, because I'm a hardcore fan of classic castle, even though I gave most of my stuff away when I was 27 and just recently started to collect again.... but the use of traditional walls and pieces is really nostalgic and delicious, on my end.
