Castle Black

Post by kris kelvin »

It`s been a while since my last castle-themed MOC but I`m back :)
Well, it`s not THIS Castle Black, but it`s black so... It`s Castle Black.

My lastest creation. 5x7 baseplates 32x32.
Special thanks to Darek Mróz, Sariel and Jetboy who helped me with the photos.
I have to say that I`m not quite satisfied with the landscape. It should be bigger nad more detailed. There should be cemetary and small chapel, more spooky trees ect...
But it consumed a lot of my time nad money so it is like it is.
Enjoy :D

Wow, this is really amazing! It's not often that you see a black castle, especially one as impressive as this! It looks really spooky and foreboding. I agree that the landscape is a bit dull, but that's okay. The landscape is just supposed to be a foundation for the castle, if you make it too detailed it can get in the way.

Stunning build! The black and brown mix together perfectly and I really like the layout :)

Very impressive! I like the stonework on the walls very much and the black is extremely striking.

Very nice. It's hard to get a black castle to look quite right, but the textures you used render a lot of the problems moot. I like the green roofs, too - a bold choice.
