Hello castle builders,
I didn't build anything for several years, but never posted this one i made in the summer of 2013 or 2014. I don't even remember why this castle is called Montclerc, but i remember why i built it : showing the transition between Medieval era and Renaissance era, when castles where becoming more liveable and comfortable (bye bye good old fortress). So i based my construction on castles from Dordogne (France), which are really beautiful in my opinion (as is the region) and perfect for this idea of transition (just look at Beynac castle). For example, the tower is still here, but the windows are becoming significantly large. As usually in my MOCs, green and blue are the dominant colors after grey of course, but this time no interior design. Oh, I almost forget, the Tower gate is inspired by Menthon Saint Bernard castle, located in Savoie (nothing to do with Dordogne, but a wonderful castle).

This is a really lovely castle, and I also like the landscaping. The gently sloping road down to the bridge really looks realistic. Thanks for sharing this.
