I NEED HELP, with power Technic power functions in my MOCs

Post by sathalarin »

I had previously gained a design for putting power function in a windmill,

but was hoping one of you geniuses might have a pre-made design to help continuous flow of a draw bridge going up and down, i figured out how to make it go up and then go down manually with a switch of power function but not go up and down on a continuous cycle, i figure its only a matter of adding the right gears and wheels but my mind can't grasp such design just yet.

can anyone help ?
Are our builds ever really done?

I would recommend a device like was used for transferring power to the wheels of old locomotives. You would power the 'wheel' and adjust the distance from the axle. The farther the distance from the axle to the connection, the slower you would need to power the 'wheel.'

I hope that makes sense, if not, let me know and I can build a quick model of how that would look. :) Looking forward to the castle !

Hah , yeah it makes sense but im trying to picture it in my head so i can put it in place, would that be a side connection to the draw bridge or a foward connection. makes totall sense im thinking side connection. but when i draw it out, i only see the bridge going up and not coming back down.

I made an extremely rough model of what I was thinking. Don't want to do the designing for you. :)
