Wow, I havn't posted a new moc in a long time, well here you go...
I'm taking a diverson from my normal style of building (a.k.a. total crud  ), and building something nice for a change.
I give you, the guardhouse!
The images have been resized but they are still on the large side, so you have been warned.

Hey RS,

It looks nice. I especially like the way you did the roof. Why did you use a hinge plate here:

heeeyyyy - thats pretty cool. I like stuff built to CC standard, that incorporates the walls.
Very cool.

Although since it appears to go all the way through, wouldnt this be a sally port? or a small gatehouse?

:D

Actually the reason I used a hinge plate was because I couldn't find a normal 2x2 red plate
And hey LF, havn't seen you in a while, and the wall dosn't actually go through the house, there is a downstairs, I just didn't take any pics of it because its not very intresting :P

Neat-o! This MOC has a very neat and tidy look to it. I really like that is is CCC compatible. I also like your approach to the roof; I haven't seen it done this way very often.

It's Beautifull. I like it. It looks even better in person though!

That is pretty cool. Nice way around using roof tiles. I like ways that don't require roof pieces because I don't have many.

That's really interesting, I don't know that I have seen anything quite like it for the CCC. I agree with everyone that the roof is probably the best part. You should post some pics of the downstairs just to let us see.

That's funny. Here I was thinking that maybe the roof flipped open but you had to hinge that part out of the way so the roof could swing past the chimney. :)

hehe actually it comes off just fine without the hinge plate, oh and as requested I have some first floor pics. I added a little detail downstairs to make it more intresting. I like how it came out. :D

Wonderful design. There is a charm that comes in smaller packages, in simplicity. This is a well planned and executed MOC. I don't like the W&D construction on fortifications for defensive reasons, but it is a compelling style is it not? This could be in one of those Kinkaid paintings. Good work and welcome back.
