...and nine hundred and ninety-nine posts ago, I posted my first MOC (and first post) to Classic-Castle.com:

viewtopic.php?t=126

When I posted my Hunting Lodge, I was still an active member of LUGNET.space, had a total of two castle MOCs posted online, and was a Gong Farmer. Almost a year later, my spaceship canopies are collecting dust, my castle MOCs outweigh my space MOCs, and I have worked my way up the ladder of titles to Earl of Wells.

Now, 1000 posts later*, I present my latest MOC, Lamp Maker's Dwelling:

I like the different shape of the building's front, it's very unique. The sidewalk looks great.

Interesting design on the lamp, I haven't seen that before either.

Oh yeah...

Welcome to the club. 8)

That is a very nice shape for the sidewalk. Nice use of those pieces. Over all, the angle is very interesting.

I can't wait to see the rest after the folder has been moderated.

Awsome awsome!

I saw this and had to post!

Its very nice, really built in the spirit of that Ye Old Hunting lodge. I'm not much of a fan of that sand green chimeny, but its nice to see variants.

Its too bad that you had to sacrifice that door openining for those angled stairs, but the effect is incredible.

Your truly are deserving of your title, I'm sure those space guys really miss you though.

Hey! Good for you! I only hope I can reach your amount of castle parts and figs in the same amount of time you did.

On the building, awesome! I really over use that word on this forum, but I can't think of any other word so comprehensive! I like the lamp design in the from for it's uniqueness, but I prefer ones made with translucent pieces. The fireplaces are nice looking and I really like the SNOT along the outside of the front and and back walls. The roof is nice too.

Two questions. One, what are the angles pieces in the center of the flat part of the roof? They look like 1x3 slopes turned on their side except that there isn't any flat part where the stud is, so it couldn't be that.

Two, how does the smoke from the bedroom fireplace escape? I can't the end of the small chimney issuing from the building any where.

I just checked out the moderated folder, and it looks pretty good.

The interior has a lot of detail. I really like how well the roof works with the strange angle. That was a good answer to the problem of the abnormally shaped building.

Are you planning on making more buildings that fit next to each other?

Very cool Nathan. I like how you managed to bend the building. Congrads on making one grand.

Great MOC Nathan! I really like the small details that make all your MOCs great.

The colors for the bed are chosen well, and the lamp is a very creative and unique design. I might have to steal it for one of my MOCs.

Thanks for sharing.

Ps. Are you possibly think of making a whole line of "makers"? Firework makers, Lamp maker, and maybe a Bread maker( a.k.a.: Baker)

Congratulations Nathan! You have broken new ground here. This in ovative design would sent even Mr. Furman back to the drawing board. I really like the way this building would break up a straight town's streets. Nice job.

I am always impressed by angled buildings. I think they are historically accurate in a town, but not the easiest thing to do with LEGO. Very nice job with that, and the roof is nice too. I like the way you made it break up into three pieces to provide for a lot of access, but sand greenon the chimney, I don't know about that. Over all, excellent work!!

As always, you have done an awesome job here. It can be very challanging to build a Lego bulding that "bends" like that - I've tried and failed miserably :)

The details are good as well. The only thing I don't like is the awkward angles the roof pieces are at, but I don't think that is something that could be avoided.

You also seem to have your own distint style as well - alot of your castle creations incorperate a Tan/Brown/Black color scheme.

Keep it up Nate! You're an inspiration for all of us.

Nice work as usual Nathan.

I like the shape of this house. You seemed to have designed and planned it very well.
I also like your colour scheme, the tan and black work well together. The sloping roof above the porch area looks good and I like the way you have built the chimney.

This would look great in a town layout, even if it does looks a little more further forward it time.

Hey Nathan,

Awesome bent building design. Two small details I really like are the lamp here:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=948332
(gonna have to pick up some clear heads), and the lamp in progress here:

Is that last a trans yellow minifig head or a clickit bead?

Man, the way the house bend is hella sick. All the detail you put are cool like the lamps and the little fireplace by the bed.

Outstanding MOC Nathan!! The details set this one apart from what people like me try to make.

And yes Bruce, that is a trans yellow minifig head. Set 7413 (Orient something or another) has 2 of them, they make great lamps and such.

Keep up the nice work Nathan.
