Castle Falkenheim by André Noël

Post by Bruce N H »

Hi all,

I was looking around 1000steine.de and found this castle posted in June. I don't see any mention of it here, so figured I'd post a link. Check out Castle Falkenheim by André Noël:

Beautiful castle.

I love the windows, both the recessed windows and the (what's the word...) sticking-out ones. He's also done a good job with the integration of the BURPS.

For some reason, it looks smaller than it actually it. Must be the scale, or something...

I really like this Castle. One of the little details I like the most is that tree with those dark gray plates which looks like the roots sticking out of the ground.

That is amazing detailed. The windows are great. I like how it opens for playing access.

Get me one!

I'm not too sure about the pub place in front of the castle. It seems to close for my taste.

I've seen that before on BS, and like it much!

If I were him I would loose that silly little burp hill, and keep it on flat terrian. I would also omit Siskids MOC, as it shoots down the originality factor.

Sorry to disagree with you, DM, but I really like the BURP hill! I also love the way it opens up. My favorite details are the inset sections in the walls and the drawbridge mechanism.

If only I had that much gray...

Excellent. Lot's of nice detail and very scenic. 8)

I love how the Yellow building with black trim and roof blends so well into the castle walls....very well done.

Everytime I see somthing like this, I want to scrap what i am working on and buy more lego.

Cheers

A great castle. My favorite part is the very realistic drawbridge mechanism. The walls are a bit busy looking for me, but thats a prety minor whine. I also like the way the walls open. Its new to me at least, a variation on the "crack in half" method.

I really like the large amout of access he has built into this one. I also like the the tudor against the stone look. I think the scale of the whole model is great. Not overly huge, but large enough to look impressive. I like all the windows and don't find them too busy, I think they add a great sense of style to the entire MOC.

Very Well done. Looks fit for a King I must say!
I'll need to buy some more Lego's before I can build any thing of that scale.
