I'd like to present to you my latest MOC, Brickmoor. Brickmoor is home to Lord Nesbitt, the Duke of Brickmoor. This Castle is a relatively small, but easily defendable fortress.

This castle has a footprint of approximately 80 x96 studs, and is over 50 bricks tall at the highest tower. Including the landscape, the area of the entire desplay is 144 x 176 studs.

Features include:

- Three hidden passageways
- The Great Hall
- A Spiral Stairway
- Two Bedrooms
- A Soldier's quarters and Armory
- A Study
- A Gatehouse
- Stables
- Storage Cellar
- Dungeon

Welcome to Brickmoor.

Oh my!

This quite possibly could be my favorite LEGO castle!

I really loved Lionized, but this one blows that out of the moat! Incredible. When your avatar changed I was amazed. I was really hoping that that would be of your latest moc.

What I really love about this is how you mixed in different colored bricks. I really want to build a castle, but was unsure how the effect would work, somtimes I like it, sometimes it looks tacky. but it looks simly amazing on your castle.

I love how the walls are not symettrial! That makes it look even more realistic! I would really love to see some shots of the castle with less figs, they take away from that awsome landscape!

You Rock!

Hi,

I really like the small rural castle feel (without bashing the size of your MOC) of this. Just enough to make it a bustling area without any danger of a royal visit (except the odd hunt). I also like the sand red? sprinkled in sparingly and of course the moat...

Great job and God Bless,

Nathan

I love your landscape. I'm currently undertaking my first landscaping project, and I think yours blows mine out of the water. Can't wait until the folder is public so I can see more.

Nice MOC, I like the entire thing. The coolest thing are those forestmen climbing down that tunnel. The way that you mixed those different bricks, it gives the castle a more realistic look.

Wow that's extremely cool. The structure in total is plain awesome. I must have taken a loooo...ooong time to finish. I aslo built a river passage that may go along with your castle, I'll post the pics soon.Anyways, it's beauty is in extreme dosage.

Hello!

That's a great castle! It's so full of life. There are so many nice details in it, and I like that it is not rectangular. You did a very good job with the landscaping, too. Keep on building!

Bye

Thank you. This castle was originally based on a sketch I was working on in law school (as you can imagine, lectures can be quite dull).

Dragon Master, the Asymetrical wall was actually part of my original sketch! My original plan was to build a large-scale version of the BFF (6074). The problem of course was that the front D-tower would look absurd at that scale. To give the castle character, I decided to offset the gatehouse to the right and run a wall diagonally to the rear of the castle.

Thank you. I'm actually a big fan of Sand Red! It has such a warm feeling to it. Its too bad that you can't get a proper selection of roof bricks in Sand red. It would make for a great roof on an Italian castle.

Again, I must compliment you on your "Clawdess" Castle. It is truly impressive. The landscaping was actually an afterthought. When I first finished the castle, it seemed somewhat lacking in character. I decided that it needed an environment to place it in context, and give it a better sense of scale.

Would you believe that the tunnel you are referring to actually started out as an entry for the Outlaw Fortress category? I wasn't all that pleased with the results so I incorporated the passageway into the bottom of the Castle!

Actually, the whole thing came together quite quickly. I would say that I only spent about 40-50 Hours constructing the castle, and the landscape. It's the photography that was the nightmare!

Thank you very much. This is high praise indeed!

Again thank you to everyone for your compliments,

Later.

wow...

I really don't know how it is that you all build MOCs at this level... very cool!

I just wanted to add that I like the chandelier in the dinning photo... nice touch!

I have dial up, so it is rare that I take the time to look at each and every picture of a MOC. But for this one I did

Very nice to say the least. Some note worthy details are the "road apples" on the stable floor and the fact that all your flags are flying in the same direction

The secret passageways are neat, and I like your bridges. Very impressive.

The castle is amazing. Like many people have said before - there is just so much life going on. One of the biggest things that I like about it is its accessibility. It's a lot harder to make a castle accessible when when is building on such a bit scale.

I also love the details! The drawbridge is great, the 1x1 plates under the 1x6x1 arches on the bridges are a nice touch. The checkerboard design behind the thrones.

An inspirational masterpiece!

Wow I like how it isn't rectangular. Just that alone is awesome. I am finishing a MOC myself but it is symetrical. :(

All the detail is also great too. The passages, the kings table, bedrooms, stable all give it a nice touch. Definately impressive and probably the best MOC I have seen in months.

I think going to college gives an opportunity to work in MOCs aswell :D
