Awesome castle! I too wish I had that many grey bricks...
I love how the royal kegs get a spot beside the thrones!

Kinda late to this topic but anyway. This is a masterpiece! The secret passage is quite genious and the entire design of the castle looks very real. This is definetly one of my favorite MOCs.

I'm glad this topic got dug up, since I wasn't here when it was first started. This is probably my favorate castle of all time. Whenever I need help or ideas for parts of my castle, I look at it to see how it is done in Brickmoor. It looks great from far away, and it has great interiors. The fact that its no a squarish shape also adds to it's attraction.

Wow!
Awesome! That is really really nice! Great interior detail and I love the landscaping on the perimeter!

I already complimented on this last year but this is one of those castles that deserves more than one compliment.
I still have yet to see an interior design as good as Brickmoor's:

If I could imagine the perfect lego castle, Brickmoor would come very close.

Re:
I wish I had enough Legos to build something like that.
Re: MOC: Welcome to Brickmoor
I love the classic castle influences. Specifically, the merry men trap door is cool. They seem ready for a siege or jailbreak, one. The drawbridge and exterior bridges are also nice touches. Finally, the checkered panels on the floors and/or windows are cool in a more simplistic yet authentic way. Fun build.
For the King's Castle!
Re: Re:
I've seen small castles, build with hand full of lego bricks, that take your breath away, and you can not believe that that MOC is made of lego.TheFlarbar wrote:I wish I had enough Legos to build something like that.
When I had little amount of lego, I had enough. Now when I have 50 times more, I always need something, something is missing, and I can not build because "I do not have enough transparent bricks for windows"
Before, every window was unique, due to the fact that I did not have enough of the same bricks to repeat. Today, my castles are tall, handsome and detailed comparing to the old one, but the old ones do have a little more "soul", child touch. You had to imagine more, but you loved it more. Before, I used to play so much with my castles. I am afraid that, although I learned how to build better, I've forgot how to play
I say, nay, I challenge all of builders to take a hand full of lego bricks and win something at CCCCVIII, or just take our collective breath away
--------------
In short, it does not matter how big your lego collection is, what matters is how you use it
Build up!

Re: MOC: Welcome to Brickmoor
Wow... certainly gives me something to work towards Great work!
Re: MOC: Welcome to Brickmoor
Wow, Pijani, that's a pretty poetic defense of using a small brick collection. I agree that there can be benefits of limited supply: there are many times when I came up with some fairly good idea because I had to work around a lack of parts. But this is a terribly off-topic side trip, probably worthy of a thread of its own.
Re: MOC: Welcome to Brickmoor
Well, I tried to rhyme it, but I had to build roof on one of the towers for CCCC 8, then HYMYM started on TV, aaaaaaand then I've lost it, and just had to go with prose.eilonwy77 wrote:Wow, Pijani, that's a pretty poetic defense of using a small brick collection. But, just to be on the level:
When you're missing that fine brick
There's another you can pick!
Don't get nervous, you can smile
'cause you can build another style;
Imagine together all those snots
Little can build bigger MOC!
(long live 1x2 brick:)

it's black, but it is turned in on another angle, so it seems it is dark gray, I would say...Kevin1990 wrote: Little question though
