Gatehouse and part of city wall

Post by swordfish »

Hi
This is a gatehouse and part of a city wall I made.

I don't actually have enough pieces to continue it much more (add more wall)

Let me know what you think

Looks like a fantasy oriented castle. I really like the design on the gates side towers. :)

Cheers.

That's some nice work there. I really like the left tower, the one that is on an angle. I was wondering, do you have photographs of the other side of the wall.

Good stuff. Are you sure that your only 15?

Later.

Your wall is really unique. I especially like the relief work, it keeps the wall from becoming flat and boring. Caping the grey wall with black seems to give it a look that actually makes the wall look finished as opposed to uniform grey walls. Great job.

This is a great MOC! You certainly avoided the "big gray wall" syndrome! I especially like the treasure chest lids as a roof idea. The knight looks good, too. I might have to try that one of these days. Are there tiles under the tower on the left end so that it can be at that angle?

Yea this is bursting with customization - very cool - I don't think I see anything "regular" about this MOC! Great job -

When i first saw it, I had a felling that it went with your Ancient Greece mocs. I don't know why, but the contrasting black and gray look very Greek to me!

But it works great as a castle too!

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, I kind of made it to go with the Greek mocs, but I guess it could also be castle.

Yes, there are a few tiles under there.
do you have photographs of the other side of the wall.
Actually, so far the other side doesn't really look that great and isn't quite finished as I made this moc to maybe make a short lego movie with it. It's basically a facade like in real movies I'll probably finish the other side soon though, I'll post some pics when I've done that.
