Goober,

I use a rubber band to avoid the teepee effect for my robes. I was doing this to look monk-ish, but it should work for bhurkas, perhaps with ninja cowls. There's also a veiled face in the SW Bounty Hunter Pursuit set that could be useful in this context:

Combine that with the slave leia torso and you've got the makings of a great little harem diorama. Hopefully, I'll be posting my version of it soon.

Hey, pretty neat!

It is really small for a mosque, and I've never heard of a white/blue/green one, but it still captures the proper feeling very well.

Mosques, usually have at least two spires (called minarets), sometimes more. At least, the ones I've seen (all Turkish) had 4-6.

Well, my dad said it really looks like an Iraqian mosque and I agree with him. And also you MUST see some miniature mosques that are in the rural parts of Turkey. I mean, almost only 5 people can fit in

Is it Islamic law that dictates mosques must have minarets, or just tradition? Also, do the small rural mosques need minarets, or is that too impractical?

I think every mosque must have minarets, that's what I know. Every rule applies for all the mosques.

Minarets are like bell towers. But instead of bells there is a guy at near the top recites the call-to-prayer in Arabic.

Nowadays the call-to-prayers atop the minarets get enhanced by loudspeakers. :) So I guess your MOC can be used in both a Medieval time period setting to a modern one.

BTW, ever thought of buying those 4x4x6 quarter circle panels to make a much wider minaret? You could add those onion dome pieces also from the Scorpion Palace to make the top section.

Yeah, I was thinking of buying the Scorpion Palace, but always something comes up and prevents me from buying it :) I'll add those stuff for sure, but I didn't get the 4x4x6 quarter piece you're talking about. Is it the one from the blah blah passage from the orient expedition, the brown ones?

No... the 4x4x6 quarter cylinder.

You can use that along with 4x4 round corner http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2577
to make a mineret instead of using squarish bricks.
