My first vignette!

Post by Sir Dillon »

Hello,
I was looking at the vignette entries from CCC2 and thought that it would be cool to try to make my own.

I finally decided to make one from one of my faverite movies, The Princess Bride.

so, anyway, here it is: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=118325

Very nice vignette. I really like all the landscaping. The Princess Bride is a very funny movie. Great pick!

I really like the custom mask as well. 8) I think you picked a very ncie face for the Spanard.

This is really what a vignette is all about.

Great Job!!

SWEEEEET!! :D

I love the princess bride that movie is the shisnit!! 8) (Which is a good thing. )

This vignette is cool, I might try a few of my own, maybe one with inigo vs. the six fingered man, or the battle of wits,

Or maybe make fezzik, buttercup, prince Humperdink, and Miracle Max minifigs!

Wow, you just gave me a great Idea!

The vignette is cool too. 8)

I also like your vignette, Sir Dillon. The Inigo fig looks amazing like him. :) I can just here him saying "but I am no left handed.." The height and rocky stone capture the atmosphere of the cliff battle. You might try clipping the corners off of the mask on the man in black. Otherwise, perfect.

I think the battle of wits would make a really funny vignette, also.

Good work.

"I'm not left-handed either."

Very nice. So much, that I made one almost exactly like it: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=935278

The mix of bley and grey is a bit weird (though). Don't really like the way it looks. Old grey looks more 'grey' to me - so its like hints of blue in a rockface. weird.

anyways, good attempt.

Very cool. I agree on the grays (at least dark gray), but the cliff is otherwise very cool.

thanks :D I'm pretty pleased with myself as far as the mask. It's the first custumizing I've done so far.

I recently read the book and then saw the movie and loved it; so this just caught my attention! Your vignette really captures that moment in the movie very nicely.

Yeah, I know, but maybe I could make one hand bigger than the other! :) (with clay, or something.)
