I think the best three battles were singled out, to be sure... it was a pleasure to see them all though! Some really creative ideas were presented by all.

I'll take top prize next year. I guarantee it.

Afterall, this whole Battles Contest idea was mine. I proposed it twice, the first time it was shot down for some reason. The second time, other people joined into it and it was accepted.

Here's a lil preview of what it'll look like... but in Lego minifigs form. And yes, I have enough troops and horses to stage a battle like that....... now if I could just get enough baseplates.

Hey All,

Just a final update on the Battles Contest. All the prizes have been shipped and should be reaching the winners soon (except maybe Jens, I don't know how long a package takes to get to Germany :) ).

The contest turned out much better than I had hoped. There were many more entries than I expected and the overall quality was excellent. Many people have thanked me for running this contest, but really you all deserve the thanks. It was an honor and privilege to run this and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks to all who entered and I am looking forward to running it again next year!

Take care and happy building!
Josh

Once again, thanks for hosting this, Josh! :D I look forward to entering next year. By then I hope to have a much better army than a measly 20 men...

Anyway, now that this contest is over I am un-stickying this thread.

Now...to army building...

Congratulations to the other winners, too. My favorit was "Thermopylae".

Here are a few battle pics I did. One is a leftover from my Chronicles of Danju movie. It's only one picture, but I thought it was good. It's a standoff between Black Monarch Halberdiers and a Falcon patrol near the Falcon Castle.

This other is a later one- This is called, "Last Stand at The Tavern." Two knights are under attack by a few barbarians who decided to raid the place.

Edit- Oops. Looks like the contest is over. Oh well. Enjoy my pics.

They are pretty cool, but a little large... I saved them and viewed them in MS picture viewer and liked your stuff. :)

Too bad we have to wait till next year for more battles!! But I guess there will be even bigger and better things to see by then.

Jens, just keep making big battle scenes. If people criticize size, its because they're envious of your collection. Disregard them and don't shrink down your battle scene[s] for next year.

LOL... well, I think JPinoy may be right... and besides, so few of us can make such huge scenes... so it's a treat to see them when they come! I personally liked your battle a lot - it was a cool twist to see bad vs. bad; and on such a large scale. :)
